Very great service and convenient location!

I turned to Crescent Lodge having seen two NHS dentists about a painful abscess. The first did not inspire my confidence, the second seemed reasonable and began root canal treatment. My job sees me spend two weeks at sea each month. A few days after returning to work, the abscess flared up again and I felt very ill. I saw an emergency dentist who drained the abscess and sent me home on antibiotics. I was able to book an initial appointment with Dr Franke a day or two in advance. I was greeted on arrival by a friendly reception team and made comfortable in relaxing surroundings. Dr Franke performed a thorough examination of my mouth and was able to fit me in over lunch to re-do the first part of the root canal treatment, which I found out was not done correctly by my previous dentist. Dr Franke's demeanour inspires confidence in his abilities. He is patient and takes his time to explain everything both before and during a procedure. He is open to questions and put my mind at ease. The surgery is well equipped with an operating microscope and panoral x-ray machine. Dr Franke was able to show me photographs of the inside of my tooth taken during the procedure. My previous dentist had attempted this procedure with no magnification at all.I have since returned to have the root canal treatment completed and the tooth restored. I am very happy with the quality of the restoration. The shade match is perfect and the boundary between tooth and filling is invisible. I have also visited Maria the hygienist who gave my teeth the most thorough clean they've ever had at the hands of a professional and who gave me sensible and practical advice for keeping my mouth healthy. The practice staff are all very friendly and professional and I would strongly recommend anybody seeking a dental practice who are serious about your teeth and your overall well-being to go to Crescent Lodge. You will not be disappointed.
