I am a very nervous patient when it comes to getting any work done. I had two small filings completed recently and the way I was talked through each step of the procedure as it happened helped me to know what to expect and this really put me at ease :) Also my son is very shy with dentists and doctors etc but the staff are all brilliant with him :) every time we leave I get asked when we can go back :) x

Over the last 10 years I have visited several dentists in the hope of finding someone who would perform dental work with the least pain possible. All I needed was a 'clean' but in the past have had to suffer injections to reduce pain still resulting in less than satisfactory results. I believe I have found the holy grail!! Clean Teeth and very little pain or discomfort, Morven was excellent she put me at ease and stopped if i needed to, making it a very simple procedure. With no dentist for over ten years, I was delighted when the Deveron Dental Practice took both of my two young children and myself onto their books. I've had a bad pair of crowned front teeth for well over 15 years. Within a matter of months, these have been replaced by my new dentist at Deveron. I have been a patient at Deveron Dental Care for almost a year now and have received excellent care. Morven addressed problems with my teeth (that I thought I just had to live with) straight away with no issue - previous dentists did not even mention that the problem could be easily treated. The dread of having to go to dentist, has caused me panic attacks, and sleepless nights prior to my appointment, even my checks ups were almost as bad for me, and many of my dental treatments upto now have been by Sedation techniques. After a long wait, I have luckily now been accepted by Deveron Dental and yesterday had my first extraction carried out by Morven. Because of the understanding attitude, I underwent this without sedation, because of the caring approach to people like myself, in a relaxed atmosphere. I may always have my fear of treatments, but at Deveron practice many of my fears will be a lot easier to bear knowing that I am not just a ?patient? but that we are all individuals and some suffer more than others at Dentists with anxiety. This is about as GOOD AS IT GETS!! at a Dental Practice. This caring practice and the whole experience was quite relaxing and I would recommend them to all.

At last I can smile, due to the professionalism and fantastic care of Morven and all the team at Deveron Dental Centre. When I was young there was no such thing as going to the dentist,for a check up ,to go there meant pain ,pain pain, result all through my life I had a fear of dentists, I finally reached the point where I knew that time was nigh that I would have to sit in that dreaded chair ,and suffer the pain of extraction. I was met with great kindness when I was lucky to get an appointment ,and confessed my fear to Morven MY treatment was great ,my teeth were firmly disposed of with no pain ,I recommend this lady who put me at my ease as she understood my fear ,my faith in her is immense and her staff.

Having moved to Huntly some 5 years ago and unable to be registered with an NHS dentist as well as having to travel to Paisley for treatment in those years it was with relief and delight that I was contacted by Morven Swan's receptionist and taken on as a patient in her practice (at present Banff but will be Huntly) Very rarely have I ever looked forward to going to a dentist but after two appointemnts I am already completely at ease and comfortable with the very high expertise of treatment that I have had so far

After a period of time on the NHS waiting list, it was great to be finally included in an NHS dental Centre. I am someone (like most of us) who really does not enjoy going to the Dentist...but I must say that after my first appointment with my Dentist - Morven - i felt the most comfortable I have ever felt going into receive some "work". Morven chats to you which really puts you at ease (my previous Dentist was unfortunately the opposite, which made me very uncomfortable) and makes, what can be, a very uncomfortable situation, very tolerable. We moved to Huntly 3 years ago and were unable to find a dentist and unfortunately my childrens teeth were in desperate need of dental attention. My 5 year old son recieved emergency treatment and it was recommended that he should have numerous teeth removed at hospital. Fortunately for us and our son Morven became his dentist and has done what everybody else thought was impossible. She has treated his teeth, removing only whats necessary and capping the others. My husband and i are amazed by what she has done and my son has not developed a "phobia" about the dentist as we were told by another dentist he would if we tried to treat him without a general anasthetic. He loves his new silver caps and is very proud of them. He goes to his appointments without complaint and we all cant thank Morven enough, she is truly amazing.

I am very pleased with the treatment and the advice I have received. Morven has taken time to explain procedures and she has offered excellent advice on how to use Sensodyne toothpaste & other products available to buy at competative prices, from The Dental Centre which help to dull the pain of sensitive teeth. Starting at reception I was always greeted by friendly, smiling staff. The waiting area is large, light and comfortable - not that I spent much time there. I was always seen punctually (5 visits). Michael was welcoming and relaxed and always detailed what he was going to do and did it expertly. I had three extractions and felt absolutely no pain.
