Service excellent. Made going to the dentist almost enjoyable!

Lovely lovely dentist but the dental nurse left much to be desired. The second time I went I had a much nicer nurse but my first appointment I had a very abrupt and impersonal dental nurse. I was much happier the second time as the dark haired nurse sensed my anxiety and worked with the dentist to put me at ease.

About this practice

Located in Southend town centre, we are a new dental practice housing five state of the art surgeries. The practice is computerised, fully air conditioned and thanks to our completely separate decontamination facilities we are able to ensure the highest levels of cross-infection control. In addition we are fully DDA (Disabled Discrimination Act) compliant. Our commitment is to provide the highest standard of clinical care in all aspects. We are currently taking on new NHS patients who can benefit from the wide provide of dental treatments we provide. For your convenience we are open on Saturdays as well as open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Same-day appointments are available for patients suffering with dental emergencies.

Very pleasant service by dentist, explained everything. Nurses friendly with my baby to keep her occupied.Only problem was that I waited nearly 20 minutes past my appointment time.

Clean, professional and good dialogue re options, pricing etcIn terms of value, only a small crack had to be filled so perhaps a tad too expensive as wasn't a "real" filling as such but thats not the practices fault, more NHS pricesCant fault the professionalism and manner of both the dentist and dental nurseAppointment was late though!

Excellent service from start to finish & would highly recommend.

The last time I went to a dentist was June 1987 and the experience was so bad I have never been back since but when I thought I had broken a front tooth I had no choice but to find a dentist. Dr Patel was so kind and understanding he put me at ease straight away to the extent that I have seen him twice in one week and had no fears about booking a check up in 6 months time.Dr Patel explained what he was doing all the time. As it turned out the tooth was not broken so the first visit he just had a good look around, clean and X-ray and the second visit a filling. The injection was little more than a slight discomfort and the drilling and filling was done in a few minutes flat before I had time to panic.Highly recomended!

As someone who is very nervous about going to the dentist my first appointment here was very pleasant. My dentist was very kind and informative. I would recommend this dentist.

Had a great experience, was really nervous but the dentists made me feel at ease. Surgery was clean and tidy and everyone was very friendly.

All staff were very friendly and informative, my treatment options were fully explained as well as reasonably priced. The facilities were spotlessly clean - overall I would not hesitate to recommend Southend Dental Care to others.
